-Jesus existed from the beginning
-word of life

-God is light, no darkness-can’t keep living in spiritual darkness
-live in light of God’s presence, blood cleanses us from sin (every)
-confess sins
-all have sinned
-Jesus pleads on our behalf
-pleases God completely
-obey commandments-live life like Christ
-love one another
-stop loving evil world & what it offers
-world offers lust for physical pleasure, lust for everything we see, & pride in our possessions
-Do the will of God to live forever
